We’re thrilled to announce the return of a familiar face to the Pisa Confucius Institute leadership team. Dr. Wu Xueyan, Associate Professor specializing in International Law at Chongqing University (CQU), is making a triumphant comeback as the director of the Pisa Confucius Institute.

With a wealth of experience in international law, including expertise in International Economic Law and International Environmental Law, Prof. Wu brings a unique perspective to her role. Many of you may remember her from her previous tenure as the Chinese director of the Pisa Confucius Institute from 2014 to 2018.

Professor Wu’s dedication to fostering cultural exchange and deepening understanding between China and Italy has been evident throughout her career. Her return marks a new chapter for the Pisa Confucius Institute, and we’re excited to see the innovative programs and initiatives she will bring to our community.
