RESEARCH – Today Professor Giorgio Parisi was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics, together with Syukuro Manabe and Klaus Hasselmann, “for the discovery of the interplay of disorder and fluctuations in physical systems from atomic to planetary scales”. He has just become the 21st Italian to have won a Nobel Prize in history.
